The Capella Centre offers regular meditation groups - everyone is welcome, including those who are new to meditation.
Meditation is a way of connecting yourself to your ‘true- self’ – that part of you which is detached from ego, fears, aches, worries etc. It is that part of you that is wise, loving and peaceful. Within the stress of modern day living, many of us become detached from our true selves, it becomes easy to lose our sense of purpose.
Meditation is a way of checking in with yourself. How many times a week do you ask other people how they are feeling? How many times do you ask yourself?
One of the most popular form of meditation is visualisation. Please note that it is not necessary to be a ‘visual’ person in order to benefit from this. For some people it is very natural to close their eyes and ‘see’ – others, myself included, tend to ‘feel’ what is happening in a visualisation, this is just as good!
