Kundalini Energy Moves When the Masculine and Feminine Energies are in Alignment
By Sandra Musser Weaver
Kundalini Energy is the divine feminine creative power or Shakti Energy. Ancient history says when the kundalini Shakti is accepted as a Goddess, she will rise through the heart to the head, and unite herself with the Supreme Being, Lord Shiva.
The image of a serpent sleeping at the base of the spine is a metaphors for the kundalini energy. It's asleep waiting for the long awaited call for the joining of the masculine and the feminine energies. Some call the Shakti energy dormant life force, which the human orgasm gives a small idea of the powerful potential of this sleeping energy.
Many try to activate this energy through physical, meditative or hallucinogenic means. This is a dangerous game. If the kundalini energy is moved before it's ready this powerful force could kill or maim, because it would not pass through the proper channels.
There are "nadis" or two channels that run from the base of the spine to top of the head that cross over each other as they weave their dance of energy between the seven main chakras or psychic centers of the body. "Prana" in Sanskrit, "itz" in Mayan or "vital essence" in English is the spiritual fluid that runs through the blood. It's even more concentrated in the semen of men and vaginal fluid of women.
The kundalini energy is virtually dormant in the muladhara chakra (base chakra) coiled three and a half time since the beginning of time. The magic and power of our feminine side has been compromised and rejected. Yes, we have negated it's rightful place within the four parts of us and next to God. The four parts are Spirit(intellectual), Will(feeling/emotional), Heart(balance/joining of the two), and Body(the vehicle of expression of that joining). We need all four parts of ourselves to be a happy healthy and magical being.
Understand the masculine and feminine energy is not about men and women. These energies are within all of us.
Men usually carry more masculine tendencies and women feminine, but not always. They can easily be reversed. Let's take a closer look at these four parts.
Spirit - represents the pure Father, masculine side of us. This side is ambitious, visionary, analytical, calculating, progressive, self-serving, stern, cold and narcissistic. Spirit dominant people may be unloving, rigid, driven, but very focused on their goals. The feminine aspect of self helps to balance spirit with love and compassion. It's only through balance the kundalini energy can move. The upper chakra colors represent the Spirit and are blue, indigo and purple.
Will - is our feminine side. This is where all emotion begins, from...love, anger, jealousy, sadness, happiness, fear, warmth, guilt and more. The feminine is movement in all aspects. This part of us needs direction from the masculine part of us, as well as the ability and acceptance to express it's feelings to be complete. The lower chakras are the domain of the Mother. Their colors are yellow, orange and red at the base. Red is where the kundalini energy rests waiting for us to evolve to the point where it can move up through the chakras.
Heart - is the joining point or blending of the masculine and feminine energies. If the kundalini energy moves, often it will be stopped at this point because of lack of alignment between the masculine and feminine. Without heart, this energy can not move safely through to the upper chakras. To achieve a rise in consciousness, you must go through the heart.
You can dwell in the realm of the upper chakras in an unfeeling focused way. But, you would be lacking in love, softness, compassion for others and emotional expression found in the lower chakras. Green in the middle would be the coming together of the our first two aspects. This along with the movement of the Mother drives the kundalini energy upward.
Body - is the physical expression of the joining of the masculine and feminine energies. Without the physical, there could be no true joining or place for the kundalini energy to move. The importance of body has been negated by many in the "spiritual' community.
Body has consciousness. We all need our bodies or there is no evolution of consciousness. We manifested on this earth because this is where evolution has to take place. To negate the body is to reject our ability to grown spiritually. Self-love is reflected when the body is taken care of... nourished properly, nurtured and respected. When the kundalini energy rises through the chakras, body will still be present, but in a less dense form.
I live in I AM country here in the Mount Shasta area of California. The I AMer's as they are called here, try to live from the upper three chakras, but mostly from purple the crown chakra, the intellect. Many meditate for hours a day, and seem serene, but there are denied emotions lying dormant under this veil.
It takes loving acceptance of all the chakras to be a complete human being and for the kundalini energy to rise.
At the opposite end of the spectrum, there are people who are very sexual, and emotional. They appear to have no direction, no focus. They're lost and hungry for something they have no idea how to achieve. These people are only surviving and living out of the survival chakras of the feminine for the most part.
They have not learned how to use the powers of their masculine to achieve greatness and human comfort. The seven chakras here are not in full use, and the kundalini energy is compromised again.
A symbol or metaphor would be the Spirit(masculine) represented by the Western Cultures, and the Will(feminine) the Third World Countries.
Without our three lower chakras we are incomplete. In order to be complete spiritual being we must embrace all four aspects of ourselves, and all seven main chakras. To live simply out of our intellect would be a cold unloving experience indeed. To simply live out of our feelings, we would be deadlocked in surviving, but not achieving greatness.
Since the beginning of time the masculine and feminine energy have been separated. With this separation the magic and instant manifestation of desires has been compromised. Our feeling side, our feminine has not been acceptable and has been considered weak. How many times have your feelings and their expression been stifled because, "Boys don't cry," or "You're not supposed to be angry or jealous of your siblings, etc.?" Where do you think those unexpressed feelings went?
They are still within, waiting for expression and acceptance. Depression is caused by denial and the suppression of true feelings and emotions. Suppression of feelings causes the kundalini energy to get stuck in certain areas of the body. Movement is necessary to have good health both physically and emotionally.
For example, stomach issues are caused by indecision and suppression. The kundalini energy clogs up the natural spinning movement of the solar plexus chakra, binding it and causing disease or discomfort in that area.
Loving, accepting and forgiving yourself are the most important ways to get in touch with your feminine.
But there's more. The feminine side of us all is notorious for feelings of guilt and beating herself up. She shifts the blame to herself, and the masculine within, lets her. All too often so does her man or spirit based woman.
When suppressed feeling are expressed toward another, or in private something magical happens. The built up negative charge is released and if the expresser doesn't become overrun by guilt a lightness fills their entire being.
In private, is often the best way to express these pent up emotions and can be just as effective if not more. These emotions can be expressed without inhibition or interruption. They don't have to be said to the person directly! This isn't about them or saying something to them. It's about you and always has been. When safe and possible it may be helpful to say them directly. The most important person they should be expressed to though is you.
Every house should have a sound-proof room with lots of pillows, a plastic bat and a punching bag. A room like this if used to release pent up emotion, would go a long way to increasing the level of happiness.
Through many lifetimes, since the beginning of time we have all repeated the same imprinted patterns over and over again. These imprints or patterns have been performed with different characters, and a different twist but essentially, nothing has changed. They are so ingrained we relive them, and take them as truth, but they aren't. They can be changed and have to be changed in order for us to find true happiness and love.
There's a gap between the masculine and feminine energies, where heart should be. Heart was meant to be the joining of the two. But suppression of feelings has created what we call the subconscious mind. Medical professionals and scientist say the subconscious mind represents the largest percentage of our consciousness. They're right. It's in this subconscious mind that we hold the imprints, the ancient patterns that are running our lives today unconsciously.
The key is to bring the subconscious into consciousness. We were never meant to have a subconscious mind. Everything was meant from the beginning to be conscious and open with no secrets...nothing hidden or unknown. The gap is the subconscious and it's here that we have to look to find what's keeping the distance between our masculine and feminine aspects.
We all have flashes or memories that creep out from the subconscious mind, but often they are too frightening to allow exposure. Look at them...it's in their acceptance, loving and healing your happiness lies.
How many men or women do you know who can't handle the expression of their spouses feelings and emotions? Yes, it can be either spouse. Maybe it's your spouse.
They tune out the other and pretend to listen, while in reality the don't want to hear what their partner is saying. They often already have an opinion they can't wait to express. All the other spouse wants is to be heard and accepted. The receiving partner often denies their partners feelings, and talks over them till they are silenced. Again these feelings become stifled and they go into temporary dormancy...but at a price.
The price is usually reduced mental and physical health, aging, and depression. A further distance is created between the two spouses, because the emotions of one are not considered important to the other. Intimacy suffers, understanding suffers, and a new greater bitterness is established. One spouse just doesn't understand the other and often doesn't want to.
In most cases all that would have been necessary is for the other spouse to simply listen attentively, with compassion and understanding. The intensity, the anger, the bitterness, and content of these unexpressed emotions often shocks or surprises the receiving spouse. They are all calls for love...yes, your love. They are also calls for self-love.
If the receiving spouse could look at the situation compassionately, without defensiveness, they would see their part and healing would be possible. A new door would open between the two original energies that had been previously closed. The feminine would want to be closer to the masculine, because now she has been heard and her feels accepted. The charge would be released and a new lightness would enter the feminine causing the kundalini energy to move to the sacral chakra...the chakra of intimacy.
If expression had been allowed when it wanted to be presented originally, the charge would be much shorter and less intense. But, usually these emotions have to go through a long period of rejection, denial and guilt.
Without acceptance and compassion from the masculine, guilt sets in and nothing is accomplished. These emotions and feelings simply do not go away. They keep coming back looking for acceptance, understanding, forgiveness and ultimately love. They have to move for the kundalini energy to move.
The feminine feeling/emotional aspects of ourselves has affected us all our lives. It doesn't matter if you're a woman or a man. We all have these four parts of self. Without balance in them the kundalini energy remains dormant or stuck in the chakra represented by the suppressed emotions.
It's these gaps...these unknown...unaccepted areas that keeps us from evolving in consciousness and moving the kundalini energy. In many cases the suppression is so deep, it has to be triggered by an event that brings it into consciousness often violently, because of the extreme amount of suppression. It usually isn't pretty.
It's only in the consciousness mind we can find healing.
The traumatic things that happened to us at a young age are affecting our decisions today. Because the cause is locked in our sub-conscious mind we have no idea why we have these problems. Denial enslaves emotions in the subconscious mind until they are felt.
Signs of these denied emotions are memory gaps in our childhood we can't explain. We have no memory, because when something horrific is rejected, we block whole segments of our past not just the event. Another sign is multiple failed relationships, and unexplained fears.
A rise in consciousness means we now have consciousness and love in the realm of the subconscious. Everything we need to know is hidden and waiting in our subconscious minds. As the subconscious mind is accessed the body becomes lighter. It's no longer holding the heaviness of suppression. Once the hidden aspects of our emotions are felt, accepted, loved and forgiven, we then complete. Until then, there is a gap, and the kundalini energy will remain for the most part, dormant.
Consciousness can only rise, when we feel our denied and rejected feelings and emotions. With these emotions, we must feel the suppressed pain that goes along with it. Through our conviction, God is alerted to follow immediately with love. But first we must take responsibility for these feeling and finally accept them. This acceptance of our feminine energies heals us and releases us from the endless cycle of pain and suffering brought about by imprints formed during our ancient beginnings.
