Around the festive season, we see angels everywhere- on Christmas cards, wrapping paper, adverts for films and television programs, we sing about them in carols and watch them in nativity plays....angels seem to be all around us.
However, it is not just at Christmas that they are with us. There are angels walking among us, there are angels walking beside us, and there are angels watching us learn our lessons here on earth. They love us unconditionally and want the very best for each of us, regardless of the choices we have made.
Up to age of about 7, children can easily interact with angels because they are innocent and open to everything as the world is a huge learning game to them. Around about the age of 7, they begin to assume the role that we as a society put on them, and they grow into the person that they are told to be. Somewhere, the wonder, and the magic, and the sense of awe are lost as we grow into responsible adults.
Many adults are unaware of the presence of angels on our planet, and yet, even though they do not believe, or cannot hear, they are still loved beyond anything that we humans can comprehend.
Some very fortunate individuals do not lose the ability to talk to angels, and continue to have a very strong connection with them into adulthood. Diana Cooper, Doreen Virtue, Lorna Byrne, and Sylvia Browne are examples of people that have made their mark on the world by describing the relationship they have with angels, and sharing the messages that they receive. Their work is extremely popular.
Others still, find that they reconnect to angels later in life. Sometimes this comes after a near-death experience, or after a huge tragedy, or trauma. Many people report that at these times of crisis, they are very aware of the angels surrounding them and supporting them through the experience, and find it very comforting.
It does not need to be this dramatic- sometimes people open up to the possibility of communication with angels because of a chance conversation, meeting, or passage in a book that inspires them to look into the matter further.
How I first became aware of angels as an adult was that a friend gave me a book about them that really resonated with me, and about a year later, I was given a gift token as a Christmas present for an Angel Reading, which I thoroughly enjoyed. After that, I went on to train with Doreen Virtue and the rest is history. The teacher comes when the student is ready.
On very rare occasions, angels visit in person (so to speak). Historical examples of this are Mother Mary being visited by Gabriel, Joan of Arc, and Bernadette of Lourdes. Throughout the various faiths, there are references to angels coming with messages from God which prompted the receiver to choose a different, often difficult path.
Add to this the phenomenon of incarnated angels- these are people that you meet that are without doubt human angels. They radiate love, always see the good in everyone (somewhat to their detriment sometimes) and are very often healers or teachers. They have big eyes that smile with joy, and often have a round face, and are a complete joy with. They are kind, and jolly, and are fabulous to have as friends because they are such fun and add light to all situations.
Other human angels are the type that appear for you in a time of crisis, offer some vital assistance and then disappear. They are sent from the angels to help in that instance, and having served their purpose, they leave. It could be that you have been that angel for someone else? Or have you experienced it in your own life?
Angels do not judge, or bear grudges against us for the unwise choices we may have made along the way. They love us entirely because we are who we are, and they love to talk to us and help us when we ask them. Ultimately, they want for us to be happy and at peace with ourselves, our fellow man, and the planet. They applaud loudly when we are kind or loving, or when we address our issues and work through our pain, because as we do this, we are helping the world to become a better place for everyone.
For those new to this who would like to try to talk to their angels themselves, congratulations! It is like any new skill, it can take a while to perfect, but the key here is to try. Use cards, meditate, join a circle- whatever you are drawn to. Practice, practice, and more practice- find some friends and ask if they would mind you practising- most people don’t mind at all!
It is worth knowing that if the messages you are getting are critical, or judgemental, or are less than 100% loving, then what you are hearing is your ego. Angel messages are always kind, nurturing and loving, no exception.
Sometimes they pass on messages that we may not want to hear (i.e. the truth) but even then, the messages are always said with great love.
Angels offer us strength, guidance, courage, healing, wisdom, peace and love. They have an unlimited supply of all of these that they are glad to share with us when we need it. All we need to do is to find a way to be able to communicate with them- directly, on your own, or with the help of someone who is trained to talk with them.
Where else could you find this sort of support or love 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year? Angels are not just for Christmas- they really are an all year round resource that can help you on so many levels. All you need to do is ask! What will your questions be?
